I was lucky enough to have a smart dietician talk to me some years ago, and it started to change how I thought about food. That evolution of thought has continued now that I’m a mom (though that’s not to say my son never eats junk food). I care about using seasonal vegetables, avoiding processed foods, and eating consciously – not just mindlessly shoveling whatever is at hand in our mouths. All that said, I have a toddler to chase around (so limited time), and a single income (my dear husband’s, so limited budget), consequently, I don’t get too high-falutin’ very often.
